GK General Insurance Company Limited (GKGI), a wholly owned subsidiary of GraceKennedy Limited (GK), was named Best of Chamber in the Large Category at the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce (JCC) 40th Annual Awards, held on June 12, 2025, at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston. It is the first time GKGI has received the prestigious award, which recognises companies that demonstrate excellence, innovation, and leadership in Jamaican business.
Adding to the GK Group’s success at the JCC awards, GraceKennedy Limited also received the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Award for the second consecutive year.

JCC’s recognition of GKGI follows several years of strong performance by the company, driven by bold innovation, digital transformation, and strategic partnerships. Innovative products like GK Weather Protect, a parametric policy that supports farmers and fishers facing extreme weather, have aligned closely with GK’s ESG agenda. The recent launch of GKGI third party insurance via the GK One mobile app has enhanced access and convenience for its clients, while strategic partnerships like underwriting ScotiaProtect’s home and motor insurance offerings have expanded GKGI’s reach, and strengthened its position in Jamaica’s general insurance sector.
