Money Services Supports Irma Recovery Efforts

GraceKennedy Money Services (GKMS) extends our deepest sympathies to all those impacted by Hurricane Irma and especially to the people of Anguilla, Barbuda, British Virgin Islands (BVI) and the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) where we have staff, agents and customers.

News reports are describing the hurricane as the worst and most expensive natural disaster in Caribbean history.  We are acutely aware that the recovery is going to last many years, but are confident that the true resilience of our people will allow for smooth transition to achieve a new normal.

Please join us in sending warm thoughts and prayers to all those who have been affected and in the months ahead to the impacted countries and communities of the Caribbean and our Diaspora.

As a show of goodwill and support, GKMS will offer a no fee charge to and from Antigua & Barbuda, starting Saturday, September 9, 2017. Our agent locations in Antigua are operational and were able to reopen the day after Irma’s passage.

We also encourage our customers across the region to download and use the Western Union app to track their remittances and to find their nearest location.

If you would like to show your support with a donation, there are many international organizations such as the Red Cross, Salvation Army, United Way, as well as local food banks, rescue groups and others helping with relief efforts.

GKMS stands in solidarity with you as we work together to rebuild for the future.

Along with Jamaica, GKMS operates in the following markets across the region: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Guyana, St. Kitts and Nevis, Montserrat, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
