Mr. LeRoy Bookal is a Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Management Accountant.
In 2002, he retired as the General Auditor of Texaco Inc. after a 30-year career with that organization.
Mr. Bookal was the Auditor General of the World Bank, until June 2004, with responsibility for auditing the world-wide activities of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD)/International Development Association (IDA), International Finance Corporation (IFC), and Multilateral International Guarantee Agency (MIGA).
He recently completed a term as Chairman of The Institute of Internal Auditors, an organization with 95,000 members in over 120 countries. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors. He also served as President of the Research Foundation of the Institute of Institute of Internal Auditors.
Mr. Bookal is a past Chairman of the American Petroleum Institute Audit Committee and a past Board Member of The Westchester Coalition (New York) for minority businesses. He was named a Director of the Board of GraceKennedy Limited. in 2005.
He also serves on the Accounting Standards Board of Baruch College in New York and on the Executive Committee of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
